Urban Arts Institute

Where creativity becomes skill—and skill becomes opportunity.
The Urban Arts Institute gives young people a place to create, explore, and build real-world skills through the arts. From music and DJing to visual and digital expression, students are not just exposed to creativity—they are taught how to develop it, apply it, and grow from it.

UAI operates year-round, offering consistent afterschool arts instruction alongside immersive summer experiences that deepen creative skill and expression.

What We Do
Hands-On Creative Learning Students engage directly in artistic disciplines such as DJing, music production, and other creative outlets—learning by doing, not just observing.
Real-World Skill Building Programs are designed to move beyond hobby into application. Students gain skills they can use—whether that’s performing, producing, or even launching their own creative work or business.
Exposure to Career Pathways Students are introduced to creative and professional opportunities connected to their interests—including experiences like career shadowing and mentorship in fields such as media, production, and beyond.
A Safe, Supportive Community The program offers a structured environment where students feel

“The St. George Scholar Institute has had a profound impact on my daughter, shaping her personal and professional growth in remarkable ways. Through programs like the DJ class, she has not only learned the craft of DJing but has successfully built her own DJing business, demonstrating the practical, real-world skills she gained from the institute.

Beyond technical knowledge, St. George has also fostered a sense of community involvement, offering her opportunities to give back through volunteering. The institute has provided a safe and supportive environment for her to step out of her comfort zone, develop confidence in meeting new people, and explore new interests.

A particularly transformative experience was the chance to shadow a sports medicine doctor, which helped her gain valuable insights into a potential career path. St. George has been more than an educational institution; it has been a truly enriching experience for our entire family.”
